First Steps Learning Journeys

We are proud to use First Steps Education, an online learning journal that makes it quicker and easier for our Early Year's Practitioners to record and track the development of your child.

A learning journal is a document used to record a young child's learning and development as they move through the Early Years Foundation Stage.

We collect evidence of progress throughout your child's time with us, including photographs, videos and examples of work. The evidence acts as proof that your child has reached key milestones in their development.

First Steps Education makes the process digital, allowing practitioners to use our tools to do their work in half the time without having to rely on spreadsheets and scrapbooks.

Using First Steps makes it really easy to create reports, track achievement and plan forward. First Steps also gives parents the ability to log in and catch-up with photos and videos of their children at nursery. Parents are also able to add their own photos and milestones giving a holistic view of the child's development and strengthening our partnership with parents.

'You always say hello & goodbye to both parents and children. You also address children by their first name making it personal and shows you know the children. You are always friendly.'
